Everyone loves the Root POWER Detox Tea, which draws power from deep within the soil and is both calming and energizing. (My personal favorite combination!)

It contains the herbal powerhouses Licorice, Eleuthero, and Chaga mushroom, which we added for their energizing and balancing effects, while Dandelion, Astragalus, and Dangshen help to maximize your daily detox efforts.

All these herbs help to stimulate the detoxification of the liver which supports glowing, healthy skin, energy, and are immune boosting as well. has great tonic effects. Root POWER Detox Tea is a perfect, well-rounded tea to drink all the time.

Benefits:  This 3 oz (85g) package contains antioxidant rich, digestive tonic with adaptogenic qualities. Licorice - the benefits of licorice are too long to list, but I will say that the herb's key therapeutic compound, glycyrrhizin (which is 50 times sweeter than sugar!) has been shown to reduce cortisol breakdown (stress hormone). Licorice is also an incredible digestive aid, anti-microbial, and a mild laxative. Siberian Ginseng - Adaptogen (used to reduce stress and improve stress tolerance), anti-oxidant, blood sugar regulation, immune stimulant, enhancement of memory and energy levels.  Codonopsis Root - Boosts immune system health, promotes mental sharpness, has adaptogenic qualities, and is anti-inflammatory.  Dandelion - especially beneficial for detox of the liver and due to it, with high inulin content, the root is a great food source for beneficial gut bacteria.  Astragalus - digestion and nutrient support, as well as boosting the immune system.  Chaga mushroom - Immune boosting qualities, adaptogenic, longevity tonic.  Note The use of adaptogenic (stress reducing) herbs in this blend may be stimulating for some people. If this is the case avoid drinking this tea after 12-2pm (depending on how sensitive you are).

Ingredients:  Eleuthero, Roasted Dandelion Root, Astragalus, Licorice root, Codonopsis root, Chaga

Suggested Use:  1 tsp per cup throughout the day while cleansing. I recommend making a decoction with this tea for optimal medicinal benefit, however an infusion will still have some benefit. Infusion verses decoction? Infusing herbs is sufficient for extracting most of the vitamins and enzymes from the plant. Decoction is used for plant constituents that require more time and heat for extraction (mineral salts, bitter constituents in hard plant parts such as barks, roots, & seeds. Because the Root Power Detox tea is made of mostly roots, decoction is best. Decoction method: Bring water to a boil. Add your amount of detox tea and simmer 15-25 minutes. Remove the kettle/pot from burner & steep for an additional 10 minutes. Strain and drink.

Making Root Power Detxo Tea in Bulk: Large quantities of Root Power Detox tea can be stored in the fridge so you can have it throughout your day. The tea can be served hot or cold, depending on what suites your climate (hot for colder regions is preferred).  Keep in mind that you will want to consume within 3 days if you are planning on making a large batch.
